Born in 1970; military service as ambulance man; studies of business administration in Frankfurt and Paris; 1994 Maîtrise des Sciences de Gestion at the Université Paris Dauphine and Diplom-Kaufmann in Frankfurt/Main; 1994 to 2000 academic staff member at the Chair of Trusteeship at the University of Frankfurt for Prof. Dr. Dr. h.c. mult. Adolf Moxter. Doctorate (1997) and habilitation (2000) in Frankfurt.

Visiting scholar at the Wharton School, University Pennsylvania (1995), Stern School, New York University (1999) and ESSEC (2006); university teaching position at the Technical University of Berlin (spring semester 2001); Professor of Business Administration, Accounting and Auditing at the University of Mannheim since 2001.

Academic Director of the ESSEC & Mannheim Executive MBA. Academic Director of the Executive Master of Accounting and Taxation. President of the Mannheim Business School.
